Who we are — Data Controller

Faithnet Technologies Private Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a private company incorporated in Tamil Nadu, India, on July 22, 2024, registered with RoC-Chennai, Corporate Identification Number (CIN) U62099TN2024PTC172066.

Jinosh Nadar (jinosh.site, “Jinosh”) is the founder and principal operator. The portfolio site jinosh.site is a personal showcase operated on behalf of and under the responsibility of Faithnet. For privacy purposes the Data Controller / Data Fiduciary for all Services is Faithnet Technologies Private Limited.

1. Information we collect

We practice data minimization. We collect only what is needed to run, secure and improve the Services. We group it as follows:

1.1 Website — jinosh.site (portfolio, blog, contact)

• Contact & hiring enquiries — name, email, subject, message, resume file name when you use the contact form or email us. We keep the thread to reply and for legitimate business records.
• Analytics & logs — anonymised page views, referrer, device/browser, approximate region, scroll and click events (via privacy-respecting analytics and/or Firebase if enabled). IP is truncated or hashed where possible.
• Cookies & local storage — strictly necessary cookies for preferences (theme), and analytics cookies only with consent. See §7.
• Voluntary — newsletter sign-up (if offered), support messages via email, GitHub, LinkedIn or Razorpay.

We do not run user accounts on the website, we do not track you across third-party sites, and we do not sell your data.

1.2 Apps & Games — Jigsaw and other products

Applies to Jigsaw, Al Quran Multilingual, Fellow Founder and any future Faithnet app/game (examples noted).

• Account (if you create one) — email, full name / display name, user ID, verification status, auth tokens. For Jigsaw: sign-up via email + password; for future social login (Google, Apple, Play Games) we receive the basic profile the provider shares. Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Fellow Founder: profile, bio, skills, social links you voluntarily add. Al Quran: no account required — entirely offline.
• Device & diagnostics — model, OS version, app version, language, advertising ID (AdMob only on Android), Firebase installation ID, crash stack traces (Crashlytics), performance traces, connectivity state.
• Usage & gameplay — level progress (level ID, stars, best time, hints used, score, completedAt), unlocked levels, saved game snapshots (jigsaw_state_<id>), achievements, hint balance, daily puzzle streak, leaderboard scores, session duration, features tapped, audio/haptics settings, theme, background preset.
• Settings & preferences — musicOn, soundsOn, muted, vibrateOn, playerName, themeMode, bgPreset — synced to our API when you are signed in, otherwise kept locally.
• User-generated content (local-only) — My Pics / custom images in Jigsaw: images you pick from gallery are written to the app’s local documents directory (/my_pics/ with manifest.json) and never uploaded. Al Quran: no user uploads. Fellow Founder: posts, messages and media you send are stored on our servers to deliver the service.
• Purchases & entitlements — we never see card/UPI data. For Jigsaw hints, lifetime ad-free and subscriptions we store only entitlement flags (e.g., purchase_lifetime, subscription expiry) and server-side receipts verified via Razorpay / Play Store / App Store. The actual payment is handled by the store or Razorpay.
• Support & feedback — messages you send via in-app support, email or payment notes (Buy Me a Coffee, Razorpay, UPI).
• Optional — Al Quran: recitation download queue and bookmarks (local). Tamizh Aasan / YouTube: we only see public YouTube analytics, no personal data from viewers beyond what YouTube shares.

2. How we use your information

• Provide & maintain Services — auth, progress sync, settings sync, leaderboards, purchases, offline queue, daily puzzles.
• Personalise — remember theme, language, audio, board preset, and (for Jigsaw) last played level.
• Improve & fix — aggregate analytics to decide what to build next; Crashlytics to fix crashes; performance traces.
• Communicate — reply to support, send transactional emails (verification, password reset, purchase receipt). No marketing emails without opt-in.
• Security & fraud — rate limiting, token rotation, receipt verification.
• Website — respond to hiring / collaboration enquiries, improve portfolio content, measure blog readership.
• Legal compliance — comply with India’s DPDP Act 2023, IT Rules 2021, and other applicable laws.

We rely on these legal bases: consent (where you grant it), contract (to deliver the Service you requested), legitimate interests (analytics, security, product improvement balanced against your rights) and legal obligation.

The Services integrate only with processors we need. Each is governed by its own policy.

Planned processors will receive only the minimal profile data needed. We will seek fresh consent where required.

4. Data storage, retention & security

• On-device (apps) — Jigsaw progress, settings, hint balance, jigsaw_state_<id> snapshots, cached puzzle images/OGs, Al Quran offline packs — stored via SharedPreferences, flutter_secure_storage and app documents directory. Deleting the app erases them.
• On our servers (FastAPI / Firebase) — only when you create an account or use Fellow Founder: account record, progress (progress_details), settings, achievements/hint balance, leaderboard scores, purchase entitlements, support threads and Fellow Founder profiles/messages. Retained while your account is active.
• Website — contact submissions retained for up to 24 months for business records, then deleted or anonymised. Analytics logs retained 14–26 months (IP truncated).
• My Pics / custom images & Gallery picks — never uploaded. Stay in /my_pics/ on device and are deleted when you remove them or uninstall.
• Security — TLS in transit, bcrypt-hashed passwords, token rotation, scoped storage. No system is 100% secure, but we apply industry-standard measures. We never sell your personal data and never share it for cross-site targeting.
• Firebase — data sent there is under Google’s Privacy Policy.

How long? Account data until you delete your account (see §8) or 12 months of inactivity. Crash/analytics aggregates are kept 14–26 months. Legal/tax records as required by Indian law.

5. Cookies & similar tech

Website: We use strictly necessary cookies (theme, consent) and, only with your consent, analytics cookies (page views, referrer). You can block them in your browser; the site still works. No ad cookies on jinosh.site.

Apps: No web cookies. We use local storage and advertising ID (AdMob on Android Jigsaw) as described in §1.2. The advertising ID can be reset in OS settings.

6. Advertising

Jigsaw (Android) shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use your advertising ID and IP to serve contextual/personalised ads. You can opt out: Android → Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization; iOS → Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads. Al Quran Multilingual is ad-free. Website shows no third-party ads.

7. Payments & in-app purchases

All paid flows are handled off-device: Google Play / Apple App Store / Steam / Microsoft Store for store IAP, or Razorpay / Buy Me a Coffee / UPI for web and Jigsaw hint packs, lifetime ad-free and subscriptions. We never see or store card, UPI PIN or bank details — we store only entitlement flags and server-verified receipt IDs. Refunds are per the store/processor’s policy — please contact the place of purchase first, or us for help.

8. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live you may have rights under India’s DPDP Act 2023, GDPR, CCPA or similar:

• Access & portability — get a copy of your account data in machine-readable form.
• Correction — fix inaccurate profile / progress.
• Deletion — delete your Faithnet account and associated server data. In Jigsaw: Settings → Logout clears local saved progress & purchases so the next account does not inherit data; to delete server data email us.
• Opt-out — disable analytics / crash reporting or personalized ads via device settings or in-app settings (music/sounds are local).
• Withdraw consent — where processing is consent-based, you may withdraw at any time (does not affect prior processing).
• Grievance — contact our Grievance Officer (see top) — we reply within 30 days (DPDP / IT Rules).

To exercise: email jinosh05@gmail.com from your registered email with subject “Privacy Request”. We verify identity before acting. Data portability for Jigsaw progress is available as JSON via support.

9. Children’s privacy

Jigsaw is designed for ages 3+ and is safe for children. We comply with COPPA, Google Play Families Policy and India’s guidelines for children’s data:

• We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental supervision.
• Jigsaw without an account is fully playable offline; no email or name is required.
• If we learn we hold a child’s personal data without proper consent we will delete it promptly.
• Parents/guardians may request review or deletion via jinosh05@gmail.com.

Al Quran is usable by all ages without an account. Fellow Founder is 13+ (or 16+ in some regions) — we enforce age gates at sign-up.

10. International transfers

Faithnet is based in India. Our servers and Firebase may be in India, Singapore or the US. By using the Services you consent to processing in those locations. We apply Standard Contractual Clauses / DPDP-compliant safeguards for cross-border transfers and keep data in India where required.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect new products, features or legal requirements. We will post the new version on this page, update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, show an in-app/website notice or email active account holders. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
